About this service
Passport is a reimbursement program funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). It assists individuals who are 18 years or older with a developmental disability to access services and supports within their communities. The program is also an aid to unpaid caregivers of those with a developmental disability, to obtain respite services and supports.
The Passport program allows individuals and their caregivers a variety of options:
- Flexibility and opportunity to manage their own funding and hire their own supports
- Use up to 10% of the funding allocation to pay a community based agency to administer the funding on their behalf
- A combination of the above
