About this service
Short term, safe housing is available to women and children who are fleeing an abusive relationship. In the past year, several hundred women and children received emergency shelter services from the Womens Centre Grey & Bruce.
Women and their children can temporarily reside in a safer and accessible facility. In total, there are 20 beds available in comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen, recreational areas, large fenced yard and laundry facilities are shared and residents co-operate to prepare meals and do household chores. The home is fully furnished and can meet a range of special needs. Toiletries, meals and other basics are also provided for women and children during their stay.
