About this service
Men can stay at The Ottawa Missions shelter as long as they need to but our goal is to help them find housing and return to independent living as quickly as possible. Our Housing Diversion Case Managers help people new to the shelter navigate the search for affordable and appropriate housing options. Other Case Managers who work at our shelter help residents that require more support connect with organizations that operate supportive housing facilities. If subsidized housing is required, we assist with all of the necessary paperwork. Our staff also often help clients move into their new home, including gathering necessary items like beds, sheets, small pieces of furniture and dishes.
