About this service
Group Living: Tamir operates group living homes in the west Ottawa area. Individuals live with peers in a warm, inviting home environment. Support is provided up to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Supported Independent Living/Outreach: SIL offers assistance and support to individuals who live semi-independently in the community. Whether living in their own homes or in Tamir leased apartments, participants may receive up to 35 hours of support per week, according to individual need.
Timeshare: Tamirs Timeshare program serves as a respite for family caregivers and a new living and learning experience for participants. One-month stays are shared on a rotational basis, averaging three times per year.
In-home Respite: Tamir can provide in-home respite to individuals living in the community, usually with their parents.
