Designed to strengthen and share Métis culture and history, the MNO's Summer Youth Program (SYP) is a community-based initiative comprised of post-secondary students who deliver Métis culture and history programs to community groups throughout the summer. The main objective of the program is to equip Métis youth with knowledge to speak about Métis people, their culture, and history. The training and orientation activities encourage the gathering, sharing, learning, and celebrating of Métis traditions, with a specific emphasis on Ontario Métis history and culture.
