About this service
Growing Up Among Friends (GEA) in schools are intended to prevent anxiety. These programs help children cope with feelings of fear and worry, and with depression, by strengthening their resilience and self-esteem.
The teaching of cognitive, behavioral and emotional skills in a simple and well-structured format enables the achievement of these objectives.
What are the goals of these programs?
- Normalize the state of anxiety
- Teach the skills necessary to deal effectively with stress, difficulties and changes;
- Build emotional resilience and the ability to solve problems;
- Foster the creation of friendships and support networks;
- Develop confidence and self-esteem;
- Empower children, families and professionals;
- Effectively prevent anxiety and depression in children and youth.
Who can use it?
Students in grades 1,2,4,5 of French-speaking school boards.
