About this service
Early childhood is a critical period in a person's development. The cognitive, motor, social and health changes that take place during this phase are crucial, so it is important to ensure that the child's development is as normal. It is recognized that the earlier the developmental screening is done, the greater the chances for the child with delay to be successful in school and in life.
What services can be offered?
- Screening of language, motor, cognitive and socio-emotional development according to the child's age.
- Observation of the parent-child relationship to promote relationship, learning and trust in the child.
What will be offered to you
- Development stimulation activities.
- Referral to services in the community.
- Additional parental counseling, therapy, or living environment services.
Who can use it?
Children between 0 and 6 years old. All francophone families in the Ottawa region.
