About this service
The Arson Prevention Program for Children (TAPP-C) provides assessment, education and treatment for children and youth up to the age of 17 who engage in inappropriate fire setting and/or demonstrate a fascination with fire.
TAPP-C starts with a mental health assessment to determine the level of risk of a child involved in fire play. Members of the TAPP-C team then develop treatment recommendations aimed at reducing the childs risk of future arson. Additionally, clients receive fire safety education from Ottawa Fire Services.
