About this service
Community Foundations Canada and the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity, are proud to present our newest collaboration- Queer Book Club. This project has been funded as a community response to COVID-19, specifically for 2SLGBTQ+ youth, schools and families. The project will launch in three stages: 1) 150 Care packages starting in December 2020; 2) Book club (involving 300 copies), and 3) Mental Wellness programming starting in January 2021.
The goal of this project is to send folks who are working through digital learning more resources around 2SLGBTQ history and culture. We hope these kits will provide meaningful learning opportunities through CCGSD resources and a cache of books at our office space. This project combines our existing resources and our cache of books and buttons, to create a very Queer care-package. Form Book Club (Stage 2) is to order a dozen or more books.
