About this organization
Ottawa Inner City Health was established to provide health care and social support services for people living in Ottawa, affected by homelessness, poverty, substance abuse and physical and mental illness. Services are provided through different units located in Ottawa: 1) Management of alcohol program- wet phase at Shepherds of Good Hope; 2) Special care unit for women at Shepherds of Good Hope; 3) Special care unit for men at the Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre; 4) Hospice and primary health care walk in clinic at the Ottawa Mission; and 5) Supervised residential unit for aging at home client and management of alcohol program phase 2 at the Oaks. Research and support services are provided to the Asembo Bay Group of Women for Education and Development in Kenya, Africa. Provided assistance with the development of palliative care services and education.
