About this organization
The Midwifery Collective of Ottawa officially came into being following the Midwifery legislation in 1994 and is one the original practices in Ottawa. Midwives are primary health care providers, registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario. Our practice offers midwifery care for your pregnancy, labour, birth and the six week postpartum period. Care is completely funded by the Ministry of Health for residents of Ontario. The practice's catchment area encompasses the greater Ottawa area. We have privileges at The Civic Hospital and at The Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre.
