About this organization
One of 30 dioceses in the Anglican Church of Canada. Additionally, we are part of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario along with the dioceses of Niagara, Toronto, Ontario, Huron, Algoma, and Moosonee.
With our central office just west of Parliament Hill in Canadas national capital, the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa straddles the Ottawa River and spans 46,620 square km. Away from the urban centre, our clergy and people have a presence in cottage country and are very active in many small farming and forestry communities, and in towns through eastern Ontario and West Quebec. While church services, communications and activities you will learn about at this website are principally in English, we are also very pleased to have a French-speaking congregation at St. Albans near the University of Ottawa and a Inuktitut-speaking congregation at St. Margarets, Vanier.
