About this service
The ELT program provides eight weeks of advanced English classes for internationally trained professionals plus an additional eight weeks for the participants to gain Canadian work experience through our unpaid internship/mentorship. The ELT program helps participants upgrade their English language and employability skills as well as gain competitiveness in the labour market. Participants will focus on general business communication skills, networking and professionalism in the Canadian workforce. Classes will help participants with their job search, interview skills, cultural and workplace issues. Classes are available in Oshawa and Pickering.
This program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and delivered tuition free to eligible adults.
Each student must complete a Criminal Information request, at their own expense, and may also be required to complete a Medical Clearance.
Assistance with onsite childcare is available for eligible participants.
