About this organization
Palliative care is caring for patients and families facing a life-limiting illness, starting at diagnosis. It can be any disease from heart, COPD, cancer etc. Hospice Dufferin focuses on the emotional, spiritual and wellness needs of clients and their families. We serve 400 plus clients a year. It is estimated that another 1,600 residents in Dufferin could benefit from palliative care but never receive Hospice services. This can be due to lack of knowledge about services, late diagnosis or prognosis.
