About this organization
Halton-Peel Community Aphasia Programs are social communication groups for people living with acquired communication disorders. Our programs involve both small and large group activities and are intended for people who want to improve their communication. As an organization, we educate the community about aphasia and provide training and support to family members, friends, and caregivers. Our goal at H-PCAP is to enhance the communication skills and quality of life for people with aphasia using a Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA). Our services take into account the clients perspective and current communication abilities, and our programming is designed to reflect the clients varying needs, wants, and abilities.
