Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery Program

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery Program provides regional mental health services to individuals, families, and communities in North eastern Ontario. Both hospital and community based services are available. Patients are encouraged to participate in their care planning to the fullest extent possible. The program offers specialized interventions to reduce symptoms, alleviate distress, and to support individuals to live meaningful lives and develop the skills and supports needed to choose, obtain, and keep valued roles in the community. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery Program provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to individuals with a serious mental illness, or with a developmental disability and recognizes that in both population streams, there are often other co-occurring physical and mental health issues present that require treatment. Prior to accessing our services, individuals will have exhausted all appropriate district level supports and services.
