About this service
Occupational therapy is:
A service to help children/youth function at their best in the roles (e.g. occupations) that they perform during the day.
A service provided by registered Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants
A service to promote self-care activities, productive roles and play and leisure activities
A service that can assist if you have concerns for your child in some of the following areas:
- Low muscle tone
- Weakness in upper body/arms/hands
- Fine motor delays including; colouring, drawing, cutting, printing
- Poor eye-hand coordination
- Poor play skills
- Difficulty focusing and paying attention
- Poor dressing/undressing skills
- Feeding difficulties
- Sensory differences
- Poor organizational skills
- Clumsy/awkward
Who can use it?
Children/youth aged 0-19 who reside within Nipissing requiring preschool and/or specialized services
