About this service
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder resulting from prenatal alcohol exposure. Individuals with FASD can experience a range of developmental, intellectual, behavioural and social challenges.
Your One Kids Place FASD team member will work with your family, service providers and educators to build capacity for supporting your child/youth based on the best available evidence of FASD supports.
Our FASD Program includes:
- Connecting families to relevant services, diagnostic services, and other community resources to support the inclusion and stability of children and youth in the family, school and community life
- Exploring flexible and innovative approaches for service delivery to meet the needs of the child/youth and bring forward any barriers to innovation that may exist
- Providing education to parents, caregivers and school personnel about behavioural symptoms associated with FASD
- Development of a family centred support plan
