About this service
The Shelter Program offers a number of services for women and their children who are currently in abusive relationships (physically, emotionally, verbally or sexually abusive). The shelter is a safe, supportive residence for women who are 16 years of age or older, with or without children. The services of the shelter are available 24 hours a day. Women do not need to reside at the shelter to access services. All services are available to women and their children free of charge.
Throughout a woman's stay at the shelter, the counsellor/advocates provide ongoing counselling, support, advocacy, and referrals.
