About this service
CONTACT offers a free Check-in & Chat program for adults 55+ in South Simcoe. Trained volunteers make regular calls to isolated seniors on a regularly to see how they are doing and provide access to community information. Additionally, financial supports are available to assist with incremental expenses caused by Covid-19 and to combat social isolation. Financial supports are available for transportation, additional drug costs, access to communication tools (e.g. tablets, phone cards) access to online exercise programs, and more. Funding for this program is provided by the Ministry of Employment and Social Development. To find out more, or to access the program, residents of South Simcoe can call 705 435 4900 ext. 215.
