About this organization
Mansfield Outdoor Centre is a leader in curriculum-based outdoor education and recreation in Central Ontario, having provided hundreds of thousands of both children and adults with enriching and rewarding experiences in the great outdoors.
Our privately owned outdoor education centre is located on 300 acres of beautiful land including vast forests, fields, stream, and pond, and adjoining 2000 acres of Dufferin County Forest.
The Centre is a multi-faceted educational and recreational facility that offers group facilities in a natural environment. Prior to 1969, the property was actually a working farm; the original barn is still used for outdoor education programming and the farmhouse (circa 1907) forms the core of our main lodge. The Centre opened for cross country skiing in 1974, and was one of the first to offer groomed ski trails in Ontario.
