About this service
At Fiddlehead Care Farm, our goal is to find each individual childs strengths, interests and motivations and provide an environment to help them reach their potential and become their best self. Our programs are goal-based and targeted at improving childrens physical, spiritual, emotional, social and/or mental health through modalities such as nature-assisted and animal-assisted therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, play therapy, and sensory integration.
Reasons for referral may include: trauma, grief and loss, identity or self-esteem issues, anxiety or phobias, dealing with stressful life events, pain management, anger management, depression, or attention difficulties.
Clients may include children with the following diagnoses: Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury, Autism, Developmental Disability, Learning challenges, Mental health (anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, stress), and/or ADHD.
