About this service

Hoarding Support Services are offered to all clients within the Home for Good in Peel (HFGIP) Collaborative, as part of the Secondary Supports of the Multidisciplinary Intensive Case Management Team.

The Hoarding Specialist will evaluate a clients home environment and complete an assessment (using various tools) to determine where the individual falls on the various Hoarding categories including: (structure and zoning, animals and pests, household functions, health/safety and personal protective equipment).

Individuals in the program will also:

  • Receive one-on-one support to develop a plan to manage hoarding and prevent a relapse
  • Learn skills necessary to understand why there is a connection to possessions
  • Develop awareness to their hoarding disorder
