About this service
The English Conversation Circle (ECC) trains newcomers English communication skills, which are essential for working and living in Canada. Many newcomer clients have studied in LINC program. However, even with sufficient level of reading and writing skills in English, the listening and speaking skills of newcomers may still need improvement. Newcomers not only need to practice English communication skills, but also must develop confidence in public speaking to be able to conduct interviews, utilize community information and resources, understand Canadian culture and traditions, learn Canadian social etiquette, and so on. During our English Conversation Circles, newcomers not only gain English conversation skills, but also knowledge about Canadian culture, traditions, and community resources.
