About this service
Every year, for over 40 years, medical specialists have volunteered their time traveling to the Northern Medical Clinics in communities such as Cochrane and Kirkland Lake. This saves people in northern communities the expenses, time and difficulties of travelling to see specialists and receiving treatments. Over two-thirds of the patients that come to the clinics reported that additional travel would simply be too expensive for them.
