About this service
Language training courses at CCVT nurture the individual and cater to the needs of adult learners who suffer from debilitating memories memories that can make learning difficult and stressful. The CCVT curriculum incorporates themes and activities that encourage mental wellbeing and recovery, as well as the settlement goals of the students.
Language training classes at the Centre are small and informal. They are held in comfortable surroundings, in a calm, non-threatening atmosphere. Our goal is not just to teach language and skills training, but to reduce the survivors sense of isolation by providing emotional support, community connections, and encouragement.
We provide our students with food and transportation and offer letters of support to secure childcare and income subsidies. We regularly conduct information sessions.
