About this service
This is an ideal course for English Language learners with an interest in developing health related language and gain essential knowledge of the medical system in order to pursue a career or additional training in a health related field. Language topics of study include; reading medical labels/hospital signs, healthy food and food pyramid, medical emergencies, medical screening and tests, health plans, risk assessment. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are seamlessly integrated and aligned with CLB.
Learners will have the option to progress to Health Literacy for ESL Learners Part 2 when Benchmark level 4 is achieved.
