About this service
Halton Womens Place has partnered with the Halton Childrens Aid Society (HCAS) to implement a program that provides collaborative service delivery to women who have been referred to the CAS because of concerns regarding woman abuse occurring in the home. Halton Womens Place Bridging Families Workers will work with CAS Workers to deliver services that address needs resulting from the abuse and to increase safety for women and their children. These Bridging Families Workers are supervised by and work for Halton Womens Place.
The Bridging Families Workers are available to support women who have experienced violence by providing:
Safety Planning
Individual support
Referrals and information about services in the community (i.e. Housing, financial, legal, etc)
Crisis counselling
Advocacy
Who can use it?
Self-identified women, 16+, living in Halton Region, who are impacted by domestic violence
