About this service
The food services department at Georgian Bay Hospital has two areas of operation; at the Midland site and at the Penetanguishene site. Each site has a call centre staff member that is available to take the meal orders. For those patients who are unable to call the kitchen, a call centre staff member will visit them in their room to go over the menu and take the order. The menus are all computerized and the kitchen staff input the order into a touch screen tablet as the patient orders. We offer a three-week menu rotation.
We also offer cafeteria service at the Midland site for morning break and lunch meal service. The cafeteria is closed for the supper meal and on weekends. The cafeteria is available for use even though no service is offered.
