About this service
The Attendance Centre Program (ACP) is a community-based program providing services to young people who have been found guilty of an offence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and who, as a part of their probation, are to attend and actively participate in program for up to 240 hours in a 6 month period.
The ACP focuses on the risk factors which may have led to the youths involvement in the justice system. The program is usually done in a group, but may be one-on-one if that is best suited to meet the needs of the youth. The program is relationship-based and focuses on the young persons strengths, needs and goals. Topics covered within the program can include: anti-social thinking, emotional regulation, social skill development, education, employment and recreation. St. Leonards offers young people the opportunity to learn, develop and expand their skills in a safe, fun, social environment.
