About this service
Each year, more than 1600 athletes with developmental disabilities take part in three days of fun and athletic competitions at the annual Thames Valley Track and Field Event for Special Olympic Athletes at TD Waterhouse Stadium.
This event, presented as a partnership between Investing in Children, the Thames Valley District School Board and Ontario Special Olympics, is open to students across the Thames Valley District School Board. Students participate in traditional track and field events including sprints, high jump and long jump, as well as special events such as He Shoots, She Scores, the obstacle course and fish pond.
