About this service
Our FREE Youth Guitar Program resumed in October of 2020, via Zoom for students in grades 7 to 10. We have held January and April sessions so far in 2021. Guitars were delivered to students homes prior to the start of the program so they could have free use of them for the duration of the program. Students took part in weekly lessons. Londons singer/songwriter, Saveria, who appeared on The Launch (2019) and American Idol (2020), was back this year as the instructor. Saveria reports that all groups are enjoying the lessons and catching on to the basics of guitar. Not only is playing the guitar a great skill to learn but it gives the students a positive outlet and a great focus during these challenging times.
