About this service
ACCESS Transitional Housing units provide short-term accommodations for individuals who are homeless and in need of emergency shelter. Our Leamington apartments have two transitional housing units that are fully furnished.
With the initial goal of obtaining affordable permanent housing, clients, in coordination with ACCESS Housing staff, are required to develop a Plan of Care. A Plan of Care sets out client needs, short term goals and how the goals are going to be achieved. A mandatory component of the Plan of Care for each client is to either be going to school, working or actively looking for work. The client will also be responsible to fulfill other requirements of the program, which include but are not limited to weekly meetings, and life skills training.
