About this organization
Lambton Centre is a not-for-profit organization in Lambton Shores covering 105 acres on the shore of Lake Huron. The facility includes opportunities to explore Carolinian forest, ravine woodlot and over 5 km of trails. Lambton Centre is affiliated with the United Church of Canada but all of our programs and facilities are open to anyone regardless of their beliefs. We are currently working on building connections with our indigenous neighbours. We are mindful of the broken convents and the need to strive to make relations with all our neighbours. We are working on projects that respect and support the rights of the indigenous people to practice, develop, and teach their own traditions. In keeping with the call of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission recommendations, our initiative is to support others through education and hands-on learning of traditions that have been part of our history for over 15, 000 years.
