About this service
A Transitonal-Aged Youth (TAY) Coordinator provides supports to youth across Central West Region, who are transitioning from the child welfare system to the developmental services system. Transitional Aged Youth are young people between the ages of 16 and 22 who are/have been in the care of provincial child protection services, but whose care has ceased to be the responsibility of that system. Those with developmental disabilities and/or an autism spectrum disorder become the responsibility of the provinces developmental services system. Thus, they transition from one system to the other.
