About this service
The Waterloo Region Record Literacy Fund was established to raise, invest, and allocate funds to support literacy in Waterloo Region and the communities principally served by The Waterloo Region Record in Ontario. It defines literacy as the use of printed and written information in English to function in society, to achieve one's goals, and to develop one's knowledge and potential. Since 2003, over $94,000 has been distributed to support initiatives in the region. Approximately $6,400 will be distributed through the fund in 2023.
