About this service
St. Matthews has been an Out of the Cold host site for over 15 years. Volunteers prepare and serve supper and breakfast to members of our community in need. This program runs weekly from November through April. About 70 guests come for supper, with approximately 35 for breakfast. Following supper, hospitality includes games, discussions, and movies. Clothing, boots, blankets and personal care items are also available.
Starting November 25th, 2020, a modified programme is being offered with a take-out meal as guests will not be allowed in the building due to COVID-safety regulations.
Additionally, a separate summer program often operates Wednesday evenings from May through October.
