About this service
This two-day workshop is an adaptation of the MHFA Basic course and is intended to increase the capacity of seniors, families (caregivers), friends, staff in care settings, and communities. This workshop promotes mental health in seniors, prevents mental illness and suicide wherever possible in seniors, and outlines how to intervene early when problems first emerge. The workshop topics will include: Substance-related disorders Mood disorders Dementia Delirium Anxiety Psychosis
