MCCC - Jazz & hip hop dance

Jazz & hip hop dance Jazz dance is an energetic dance style where our young dancers are encouraged to be creative and expressive. Students learn all about the spirit and sparkle of jazz dance with moves like the chass and the jazz square. Hip hop dance is a lively dance style primarily performed to hip hop music, and students learn power moves, locking and popping, and other explosive steps. This program is geared to children aged 5-7 years old. Start date: Thursday, September 22, 2022. Duration: 8 weeks. Thursdays, 5:45-6:15pm Cost: $30 for eight sessions. Did you know? Jazz dance is a combination of ballet and contemporary North American dance, including African and Celtic influences. Hip-hop dance was originally inspired by African dancing. It incorporates modern dance, tap, and swing to form dance artistry. To register for a program or activity, call the centre at 519-741-2491. We're happy to help.
