About this service
On our journey to help end homelessness in Waterloo Region, House of Friendship provides emergency shelter for men as well as long-term, permanent supportive housing for single adults. The Charles Street Mens Shelter is part of a community emergency shelter system in Waterloo Region. Emergency shelters have adopted a housing first philosophy and model of practice while serving people experiencing homelessness. Staff at the Shelter provide support to help men experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing as soon as possible.
