About this service
Our Mobile Crisis team provides a variety of supports and services that focus on stabilizing families with youth in crisis. After assessing the needs, our Mobile Crisis workers help develop a coping/safety plan and help access appropriate community supports and services. Mobile Crisis provides:
- short-term (2-3 week) crisis-stabilization for children and youth (from zero up to eighteen years of age) and their families living in the Waterloo Region,
- response to the needs of the individual and family via telephone support and/or in home/community support, and
- response to urgent matters (but does not replace community emergency response services).
Mobile Crisis operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and services are voluntary, so consent from an individual/family is essential.
For Life Threatening Emergency Response, always call 911.
