About this service
Lutherwoods Families in Transition (FIT) program helps families in Waterloo Region access emergency shelter when they have no other safe, affordable place to stay. Our Counsellors provide a variety of services to families, including: Prevention and diversion to prevent a shelter stay whenever possible Referrals to shelter with rapid re-housing support to re-house your family from shelter as quickly as possible Home-based support to help your family maintain housing once re-housed During the intake process, your FIT Counsellor will determine your familys strengths and needs to provide you with individualized resources and supports.
