About this service
Struggling with food and your body is a common experience after trauma. This 8-week group is for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence struggling with disordered eating. In this space, participants will learn practical tools for coping with disordered eating and recovery. Using a harm-reductionist, feminist, and body-neutral approach we will unpack systems of harm and explore the connection between disordered eating and trauma. Participants will also have an opportunity to connect with others facing similar struggles and build community around recovery. This group is open to participants of all genders and sizes. Anyone struggling with food and body at any point along their recovery journey is welcome to join. You do not need a diagnosis of an eating disorder to participate.
