About this service
Partnered with Reception House Waterloo Region, NCYC is a program that supports refugee youth ages 12-25 to build positive peer support networks and meaningful relationships. Through social interaction, youth who participate in the program will have a greater sense of belonging in their community and make new friends. This program utilizes and builds upon the strengths of participating youth, their family and community volunteers to create relationships that support youth integration into our community.
New Canadian Youth Connections (NCYC) is a newcomer youth integration program delivered in partnership with Reception House Waterloo Region. Refugee youth, ages 12-25 years old, attend education and social integration program nights where they build relationships, form community and adjust to Canadian culture. These program nights feature homework support, educational workshops and field trips.
