About this service
Typically, clients in the Beginnings program have needs that prevent them from participating in Opportunity Centre programs. Beginnings offers more structure and a quiet environment, with a smaller number of clients in the program. Beginnings gives you an opportunity to socialize, build friendships, relearn skills and develop new ones. Beginnings has an accessible setting where attendant services, behavioural facilitators, and life skills staff are available on a higher staff ratio than at the Opportunity Centre programs.
Who can use it?
ABI day program- opportunity centre the applicant must: have have a level of independence that ensures his/her safety should he/she choose to leave the opportunity centre at any time during program hours. Not reside in long term care. Reside in the region of waterloo or county of wellington.
