World Wide Opportunities for Women

To identify a diverse range of initiatives and programs for disadvantaged visible minority and marginalized women and their families in the areas of health, environment, social, business and community development. To focus on the initiatives and programs that provide opportunities to improve the self-esteem, independence and welfare of these woman through self-help and community development programs. To develop and provide training, education, supportive counseling and services for disadvantaged visible minority and marginalized women to improve thier skills and to assist them in their integration within their communities.

WWOW's purpose is to develop and foster initiatives that enhance the economic and social development of all women and their families, promoting integration into healthy environments and inclusive communities. Our aim is to improve the standard of living and/or quality of life for women and their families, focusing on the greater Kitchener - Waterloo and Greater Toronto area. Designed to reduce barriers faced by ethno-cultural female youth and seniors in accessing mainstream community programs. Promoting equity in health and wellness by sensitizing established health promotion and health care services to the particular needs of ethno-cultural groups parenting program: helping immigrant parents to understand issues on health, welfare and educaitonal needs of pre-school and school ages kids
