About this service
Adults living independently in the community (only within Hamilton region), living with their families or in alternative living situations have the opportunity to come together, meet with friends and socialize at one or more of the social and recreational programs.
Most nights of the week there are programs that offer opportunities to interact with old friends, meet new ones and have a good time doing something positive and interactive. These weekly activities include a bowling league, fitness night, sports program and an After-hours drop-in program.
Occasionally special weekend activities are planned. These have included hikes, trips to Wonderland, Blue Jays baseball games or other places of interest.
Participants involved in this program must have a diagnosis of ASD and must be able and willing to participate in a group environment, and move through the program to higher levels of independent living requiring decreased staffing inputs.
