About this service
The importance of work for ones general well-being is well established. When we began in 1985, we found that program participants were experiencing limited success accessing traditional employment supports. Research and our experience indicate that people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) encounter great difficulty finding and maintaining competitive employment, which has a significant impact on their mental health, self-esteem and quality of life. We have concentrated our vocational resources on supporting participants to be gainfully employed with Manor Personnel Deployment (MPD).
MPD is a service company that provides seasonal lawn maintenance, cleaning services for businesses and individuals, and data entry. MPD provides work opportunities for people with ASD. The major advantage of the company is linked to their ability to make the many accommodations required to maintain people with ASD in the workplace.
Employees of MPD are involved in Woodviews adult autism services.
