About this service
The STRIVE program provides community-based supports to adults with developmental disabilities. All services and supports are individualized based on each person's specific interests and goals and are geared to increase a person's independence in all areas of life. Activities are designed to be outcomes-based and may focus on reaching both short and long-term goals, i.e. better health as a long-term goal and losing 15 lbs. as a short-term goal met by attending the YMCA three days per week with staff support.
Our focus is on Skills and Education, Recreation, Volunteering and Employment, and for many people their person interests combine several of these areas.
The basis for our service is to be in the community where natural supports can be developed and where most people feel they are most comfortable. Inclusion works because of our community partnerships with parents, businesses, organizations, community hubs and schools.
