About this service
RE-create welcomes youth artists who identify as experiencing marginalization and barriers in their day to day life, whether that is weathering the storms of mental health issues, living independently at a young age, or experiencing precarious housing or income. RE-creates studio space, which is shared with a number of other youth-serving arts organizations, is a safe and accepting place for youth to come and discover their creative, expressive side through the arts.
Our space and our programming are a blank canvas for youth to fill, with a variety of art supplies and programs available to youth artists, as well as the freedom for youth artists to lead workshops and teach their peers. Artistic growth and learning in studio is supported by a team of caring and talented volunteers who are also artists themselves.
The Recreate studio space is located on: James Street North, the door between 126 and 128 James Street North as part of Art Forms.
